Amplifier Front Ends

The front end of an audio amplifier is responsible for processing the incoming audio signal and preparing it for amplification by an output stage.

The front end typically consists of several stages, each of which performs a specific function, such as a pre-amplification of a low level source, tone controls, impedance matching, noise reduction.
