Any 2mm, 3mm or 4mm aluminum panels can be totally customized by CNC. Front panels, back panels, top or bottom covers - anything can be CNC cut to your specification to give your chassis a truly unique design. This service is for aluminum panels only and cannot be provided for steel panels. The price is per physical panel - if you have two panels please purchase two units of this service.

All you need to do is attach a DXF or DWG with your design file to your order and our talented team will guide our CNC machines to do the rest. The work will be performed on a panel that has already been anodized. If you would like to have the panel re-anodized that's not a problem - just purchase our re-anodization service.

Lead time is 8-10 working days.

DXF or DWG file - Please see our CAD Files for Customization of Chassis Panels page for source files. If you aren't a CAD guru, can't make your own files or would rather we did it for you, then we can prepare a CAD file for you from a sketch.
Minimum radius of any corner 1mm
Pricing is based on the number of distinct holes/windows/shapes required to be cut out from the panel. A hole can be any size or shape.

I am very please with your product, and the service is good

The GALAXY 1U W/STEEL COVERS makes a great pre-amp chassis

As I wrote in my previous review the GALAXY 1U chassis is great for small projects. This time a tube line amp (pre-amp) to go with my Phono pre-amp. I have the tools to drill all the holes but I find that drilling 26 holes in precisely into 3mm aluminum is not as much fun as designing and putting it all together. If you have the ability to make a DWG file or one of the other supported formats you should definitely consider the CNC option. I had existing PCBs that needed to line up with the front and rear panels and they did perfectly. I also had the graphics added. Sorry for the picture quality, the graphics are sharp and look great.

Back panel customization

All of the custom work was done exactly right. Gianluca was extremely helpful with this, and guided me through the process of using Front Panel Designer to produce the file for the CNC machining. I will definitely do this again. 5 stars!
