I built a BA2018 wanes linestage into mine, it was a pleasure to use the internal shelf and not to have to drill holes in the bottom of the case. The 10mm Aluminum face plate was a challenge however forester bits worked wonderfully.
Very excellent quality case, cannot fault the fit and finish one bit. This is exactly what I needed for my DAC/Amplifier project. Surprisingly fast shipping, took only 1 week from Italy! Highly recommended.
Fast efficient delivery of product. Case are good value but one should really order the bottom backplane as the top and bottom lids do not have support in the middle. Depending on the weight of installed internals the bottom may not be as sturdy as you'd like.
The cases look great and the 10mm front panel is very nice. Finish is excellent.
A good looking chassis complete with all the hardware. Makes it easy to finish a project.
Received quickly and is of highest quality! I couldn't be happier with the product and the service!
I ordered this case to house a 4 phase signal generator and associated amplifiers to build a speed control for my turntable. I ordered a larger case than needed to allow space to house a tachometer for the turntable as well (projects by DIYAudio members in the "analog source" forum.) The case arrived quickly and very well packaged. It could have used a packing list and assembly instructions but we all like a little challenge now and then, after all it's DIY, right?
I am very pleased with the chassis and will be shortly ordering a deluxe 5U case for my work in progress F5T.
Quality and packaging are great IMO. Instructions show where screws go but not order assembly, which if it's your first time like me leaves you guessing a little. I installed my interior riser plate first which was incorrect. Overall very pleased with purchase.
I ordered a slimline 2U case through the diyaudiostore and was thoroughly pleased with all aspects of the process and the final result. I utilized the customization services for extensive CNC machining of the rear panel with over 50 individual holes and cutouts of various sizes and shapes, as well as digital printing of both front and rear panels.
Given the complexity density of the rear panel machining desired, there was some up front correspondence to determine the best case to start with to achieve the desired result. The modushop staff sent CAD files of the various cases as well as clarification on how the panels fit, tabbing, etc. to make sure I didn't have a conflict between machining and assembly. The final result is impeccable CNC machining.
Working with vector graphics was new to me, and I had difficulty in getting the desired artwork to display properly in a format needed for printing. The modushop staff were again very patient and helpful, corresponding several times with suggestions on methods to try for proper conversion, and provided proof images prior to printing until we had everything just like I wanted it to look. The final result was flawless and beautiful.
My case was shipped with essentially all panels double shrink wrapped, plenty of foam packing, and all wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap. There were zero cosmetic blemishes an any part of my order.
The case itself, including fully vented top cover and perforated internal shelf, assembles easily enough and the design seems plenty sturdy for rack mounting. I like the slotted system of the internal shelf that gives adjustability of both the fore/aft shelf location as well as its height.
I couldn't be happier with how the case turned out, especially given the price. I looked at several other options, from completely one-off custom protocase to factory modified stock cases from other sources like BUD industries, to local having a local machine shop modify a stock case, and n...
