Galaxy 1U w/Steel Covers
As you can see everything fit. The power regulator board and two tube based phono preamps. It looks really nice and works well. The raw DC power supply is remote for noise reasons. I use the Galaxy steal chassis for most of my projects. I'm currently working on the main preamp which will also fit nicely into the same chassis.
Case arrived on time well packaged. Assembly was straight forward and easy. Finish was top notch. All in all definitely would buy again.
I was really happy with the service and product quality, except as noted below. Shipping was very fast considering that it came from Italy to Colorado. I appreciate the attention to detail paid to the packaging--it's highly unlikely that scratches or dents would occur even with rough handling. Overall product quality from machining to finish was excellent. The only complaint I have is in the method used to attach the upper and lower covers. It uses a hex nut sliding into a channel, which is requires a few tries and some patience to get it just right. Also, because of this design, neither the upper nor lower panels can be removed without removing either the front or back panel. But even with these drawbacks I'm still happy and will continue to look to them for future projects. (And in reading the other reviews it appears that they may have fixed the issue.)
The quality of the HiFi2000 chassis is very high and I wholeheartedly endorse their use in any project where they will work! Shipping from Italy is very fast, usually just a few days to the US.
Bought a 3-pack of the 230X170 size. Nice savings. Arrived in Arizona from Italy in just a few days. Amazingly quick delivery. Well packaged with no damage. Excellent fit and finish. They are now supplying cover slot nuts that are a bit thicker but a bit of tape to add to that thickness is still useful if you don't want the nuts sliding around in the slots when the covers are off.
Purchased another Galaxy 1U and once again I couldn't be happier with it. Probably won't be my last.
I used this attractive and well made little enclosure to re-house my MiniDSP 2x4 HD signal processor. The 2x4 has jacks on both the front & rear panels making it difficult to add to your setup without having cables running in different direction. Transplanting the 2x4's guts to this enclosure couldn't have turned out any better. It was a MUCH better option than a plastic Hammond box or similar enclosure. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and the alternatives I was able to find cost even more. Recommended!
Delivered quickly, items were packaged well and scratch free. Easy assembly.
