      Nicely Executed!

Elekit has put together a winner here. The components appear to be of high quality and are neatly packaged. The instructions are, for the most part, very clear. Everything fits together perfectly and my amp ran without a hiccup from the moment I flipped the power switch. I wouldn't recommend it to a complete amateur, but as long as you have basic mechanical ability and a bit of experience with soldering components to PC boards you'll have no trouble with this project.

I ordered the Elekit TU-8200DX after researching it extensively on the DiyAudio Forum. The kit arrived as promised. Emailed questions were answered promptly. The amplifier is very nice. I substituted a few components as suggested on the forum with outstanding results however it sounds great as shipped. The TU-8200 driving MarkAudio 12P/Super Pensil speakers with a Raspberry PI4 and HifiBerry DAC+ Pro and streaming Qobus with great results. There is more than enough power and the bass is impressive.

      Elekit 8200 DX

This was a very good amplifier kit with excellent instructions. It was functional immediately after assembly, except I had to troubleshoot the on/off status pilot light; this was easily tracked down , again with a nice troubleshooting page included with the kit instructions, and was my technical error- I had insufficient solder on one resister lead, that was very hard for me to appreciate . The Japanese website actually responded to my query about this by email rather quickly, before I found the bad connection- I shouldn't have even bothered them about it.... The amplifier is a real quality item, very quiet and powerful.
The unit was quickly shipped by DIY without damage.

I have a standard - non dx - version here. It's a great amplifier, you can't buy a better one for the money. Highly recommended.
