The diyAudio community is global, and one that knows no borders. We are from every country, and united by our love of audio electronics and the spirit of DIY. Reading threads on diyAudio you will see a wondrous tapestry of flags from every nation.
40% of the store's orders are from countries other than the USA. Supporting the international community with affordable shipping options for the store's offerings has always been something I have been passionate about. Both for the store and for the diyAudio community as a whole.
What we've been doing to support the international community
5 years ago we made a big move to our new, small and personable, essentially family-run warehouse partner in Massachusetts. This was primarily in order to be able to offer our international customers inexpensive shipping options for small and light items, through DHL eCommerce. We have been extremely happy with the move, our partner, and the DHL eCommerce prices for international shipping.
What's changing?
Unfortunately we were advised last week that they will be unable to continue providing DHL eCommerce services for the foreseeable future. They are hoping they will be able to again in a year's time.
Last orders for DHL eCommerce shipping methods will be June 26th. After that all orders will ship with DHL Express or USPS International.
None of this affects domestic USA orders.
What does the future hold?
I remain as passionate and committed to servicing the international community as ever. We will be reviewing all our options moving forward so that we can best serve you.
