IRFP140/IRFP240 substitutions
Some kits contain IRFP140 and IRFP240 interchangeably if they are an equivalent part for the application. Use either in place of whatever the BOM you have calls for.
The following quote is from Nelson Pass:
"All told, I consider the IRFP240 and IRFP140 as equivalent.
The 140 has a lower voltage (100v) vs the 240, but this is offset by the higher transconductance and higher current rating. As long as the supplies are less than +/-50V or 100V single-ended, I think it’s a slightly superior part.
For the voltages we use in these projects, no problems."
