The diyAudio Store has grown rather organically since it was started in 2009. As a result related products and other information grew inconsistent. A spring clean was overdue.

We've made a bunch of updates to bring things up to date, and sprinkled some of our own do-it-yourself magic on top. The result is a store customized to serve the needs of the diyAudio community and anyone else interested in getting into the hobby.

Highlights of the changes:

• Projects: The main way of finding what you're looking for is now via the "Projects" menu. Many projects have their own "Project Homepage", and if they do you'll see that page first.
• Clarity on what is being purchased: Instead of having several sometimes-confusing purchase options for a project all mashed into one page, each purchase option now loads on its own page with its own description.
• Prices in your currency: Do-it-yourself audio is a passion that knows no borders. 40% of our sales are to audiophiles outside of the USA. If you live outside of the US you can select your country at the top of the screen, and see prices in your local currency.
• Preorders! Sick of waiting for a "back in stock" notification email that arrives in the middle of the night, only to miss out yet again on a popular project? A new preordering system will let you place an order before a product is back in stock, secure your position in the queue, and receive regular communication while you're waiting. This is a new system, and initially will only be offered on a few select products. We'll scale it up over time.
• Redesigned from the ground up: From the front page to the checkout, every page has been totally redesigned with a focus on keeping things simple and consistent.
• Information housekeeping: This process has started and will be ongoing over the next few weeks. We're going over the descriptions and information for every single project in the store and bringing it all up to date. No more missing or out of date BOMs.

Missing or inaccurate content, specifications, etc

We're opening up the store for you to use a little prematurely in terms of the content. You'll find many projects have incomplete or inconsistent information on their pages. This is temporary.

We are editing and updating as time allows over the following days and weeks. We're going over every bit of information to bring it up to date. 

Don't worry about reporting content issues until the start of June.
